I made this for my sisters baby shower. It was cheap, easy, and incredibly cute. It was great to use at the party for decor and will look amazing in baby Rowan's nursery. I wish I had gotten better photos. Now that I'm blogging more often I need to remember to bring my nice camera around with me. Here's how we made it ourselves for less than $20.
What you will need:
- pallet wood
- chalk paint
How to make it:
- We lined up three pieces of wood from the pallet and then screwed two pieces from the pallet into the back to keep the three together. This also provided a ledge if you wanted to mount it on the wall.
- Paint the board! We used gray chalk paint and let it dry.
- Use stencils to line up where you want your letters. I'm sure there are other ways to do this like print out letters then cut and trace them or use a cricut. But the easiest way for us was old fashioned paper stencils.
- Paint the letters on and let it dry!
Anyone can make one of these and we finished it just a few hours before the baby shower. Let me know if you make one!
